Using purely 35 mm film, 290DISCO does not attempt to, but organically captures the joy, the poised and the realism found across the mundane, the everyday and within special moments. With this in mind, by choosing to collaborate with 290 means to have faith, be vulnerable, maintain confidence, take a risk, and reap a bigger reward.
290 was ideated originally in the Chicagoland area, but is now based on the East Coast in Providence, RI. Yet, 290 has shot in different places around the area including but not limited to Boston, NYC, Philly and DC. Ultimately, though, 290 is of the world. Having visited a majority of the continents across the globe in addition to growing up surrounded by global influences, 290 approaches the art of capturing moments with great humility, creativity, compassion, and instinct.
